Just by looking at the achievements of Mithun up until today, it is obvious that Mithun is the rising star for Sri Lankan Golf… Mithun’s most memorable moment came in 2009 when he qualified for the Australian Open after winning the Asia Pacific Tournament in China. Anura Rohana |

He started to play golf around the age of 8. He has the same birthday date as his son. He points out that his most memorable moment up to date was when he won the Surya Nepal Masters. This was his first pro tournament win

since he turned pro. Anura clinched an eagle in the final hole of the tournament to win the title and avoid playoffs against fellow countrymen Mithun Perera. His latest achievement is wining the Global Green Bangalore Open 2011 in India.

Lalith Kumara |

At the tender age of 13, Lalith Kumara started to play golf. He made a record when he won three amateur titles back to back in the years 2003 and 2004. He won the Bangladesh Amateur Open in late 2003.

He followed his success in Bangladesh with two Amateur Open wins in India and Pakistan in early 2004. Like many Sri Lankans, Lalith Kumara enjoys cricket. |
